Sterling Silver (.925) Cufflinks Are Made With The Likeness Of Octavius Catto.  Mr. Catto Was A Mid 19th Century Educator, Respected Intellectual, Athlete & Military Officer In The National Guard During The Civil War.  Catto Also Became An Ardent Civil Rights Activist In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Octavius Was Born In Charleston, South Carolina In 1839. His Mother Was A Free Woman And His father, William Catto, Was A slave Millwright Who Secured His Freedom And Relocated His Family North. Catto Was The Valedictorian Of His Graduationg Class At Cheyne University.
